First haircut

Following Chinese tradition, we shaved Logan's head at 100 days.  James is an expert at it now this being the 3rd time.  Logan didn't like the buzzer very much and cried through a lot of it, and doesn't help that it's middle of winter right now!  I do like the much more even look (instead of only being bald in the front).

Yummy fingers

Logan has become very interested in his fingers and can often be heard sucking on them.  He seems to have better control with the right arm, maybe a righty?

Month Three: Baby talk

Logan has become much more interactive in his 3rd month.  He would make "ah" and "woo" sounds at anyone who's playing with him.  Sometimes he'll even initiate a "conversation".

He's grown out of the bassinet now so we set up the crib a few weeks ago.  The wind-up mobile can usually keep him entertained for 10 minutes or so and he like "talking" to it too.

Another wonderful milestone is sitting in the highchair.  Even though Logan can't eat anything yet, he likes to join us at the dinner table during meals, and in general watch the chaos that's around him.

Last but not least, Logan rolled over for the first time (from front to back).  It surprised all of us since he doesn't get that much tummy time (a few minutes a day).  James happened to be holding the camera and even caught it in a video, yay!

Month Two - All Smiles

Logan is starting to become more awake and observe the world around him.  He loves being talked to and often smiles back now.
We've gotten the nighttime routine down now that he's co-sleeping in the big bed.  He's so warm and cuddly!  When he wakes up needing a feed I usually just feed him with him next to me and he falls straight back to sleep.  Because of that I've been getting more sleep too!
He's starting to enjoy diaper changes more and hardly cries during them now (unless he's hungry) so I always feed then change.  Wai-gong and Wai-po takes him for a walk to Washington park almost everyday which he really enjoys. Biggest challenge is still car rides and because Logan almost always cries the longest we've driven to with him in the car is 20 minutes or so.  I hear him waking up now... better go!

One Month - Little Grunter

Logan's first month went by so quickly.  Doctor's check up went well (height 22 inches; weight 10 pounds 6 ounces).  He eats very regularly (every 3 hours) and usually has a nap after each feeding.  He's starting to open his eyes more though doesn't quite track objects yet.

Logan doesn't cry much, but he likes to grunt, a lot.  It's his preferred way of communication and he makes this really deep grunt from the back of his throat.

The thing I'll probably miss the most is how right after a meal, he'll curl his back backwards for a good stretch (almost bending back 90 degrees and sticking his bum out).  The cutest thing in the world that only newborns do.

Bath time

Logan's belly button took longer than expected to heal, so we didn't start giving him full baths till week three. He's the most alert while in the water and is really starting to enjoy it (sometimes protests if we take him out too early).  Nathan and Evan loves to help out too by pouring water over Logan.  He's also peed a couple of times while in the bath, which caused a great deal of excitement for the older boys.

Week Three: Little hands little feet

We didn't get to take Logan's hand and foot prints until week 3.  Hopefully they haven't grown that much since birth!  I had forgotten how skinny newborns' hands and feet can be.  Nanny Sarah and I have noticed that Logan's feet are shaped differently than his brothers'.  Logan's toes are much longer and skinnier, and he can separate all of them while stretching.  Maybe we'll finally have one boy that's into sports!
