"Bye-Bye"

So glad we captured one of Logan's first "bye-bye"s on video:

First sign: "more"

Little Logan turned 9 months yesterday.  In addition to cruising and crawling, one significant milestone this month is signing!  He started doing the sign for "more" by putting both hands together.  He usually does it when he's eating, or after a nap and wanting to get picked up.  Not sure if he knows the meaning of "more" yet but he loves signing it.  Captured a video this morning of that.

One toothed wonder

Logan's 1st tooth didn't come out until 8 months (quite late for a Coleman).  He manages to eat almost everything with just that one tooth, including steak and chicken!  He's starting to dislike baby food and prefer  to have what everybody else is having at dinner time.  I don't blame him :)  Most recently discovered the joy of frozen Gogurt (yogurt).

First time in a shopping cart

James and I had an argument in front of Trader Joe's today on whether Logan can sit in the shopping cart.  James was saying "Of course he can do it!", while I was like "No way, he can't sit by himself yet!"  In the end James was right since the safety belt held Logan in place pretty well.  Perhaps I was a tad overly protective :)

Starting solids

We started Logan on solids shortly after he turned 5 months and he's loving it!  So far he's tried rice cereal, sweet potato, apples, and butternut squash.  Wai-po has been making hope made baby food for him and he's liked everything we've fed him so far.  He's so eager for the next spoonful, sometimes even crying out for more.  Looks like we have another good eater in the making!

Swings

My parents tried Logan on the Washington Park swings shortly after he turned 4 months and apparently he liked it right away.  I didn't get a chance to put him in one myself until recently when we all went to the park together.  Nathan was there too and really enjoyed pushing Logan on the swing for the first time.

Next up, slides...

4 month check up

Logan turned 4 months on Christmas eve (happy 1st Christmas Logan!)... but we didn't have his 4 month doctor's check up until 2 weeks later due to Dr.Brown being on holiday.  He's doing great and all laughs and giggles.  He weighed in at almost 18 pounds (no wonder my arms are so sore these days!)  Our main concern was a bump that we had felt behind his left ear and Dr.Brown reassured us it's nothing to worry about.  He also noticed a couple of birthmarks (one big one near his belly button, and another small one on this back).
